Caravan Meetup

Meet up in front of the old Albertsons before the caravan leaves for Poverty Point. There are two gas stations to fill up before we disembark.  We will leave promptly at noon.

Northgate Mall in Lafayette

Driving: Lafayette to Kingsville

Follow I-49 North for 84 miles. Exit right at Exit 84: US 167 Pineville Expressway. Continue down Hwy 167 for 4 miles. Exit right at US 165 N Monroe exit. Pull into Kings Country Shopping Center at the right.

Driving: Kingsville to Delhi

Follow Hwy 165 North for 58.7 miles. After crossing the Red River Bridge in Columbia, take a right onto Hwy 4 East. Follow Hwy 4 for 1 mile. Take a left onto Hwy 133. Follow Hwy 133 for 25 miles. Take a right onto I-20 toward Vicksburg. Follow I-20 for 20 miles. Take Exit 154 – Hwy 17 toward Delhi. Take a left onto Hwy 17 and follow Hwy 17 for 1 mile. Make a right onto Poverty Point Parkway. Follow Poverty Point Parkway for almost 2 miles to arrive at the state park. Each car is responsible for paying for their own entry.

Creating spreads
on embrace and change. Determine the purpose of your individual reading and
create card spreads to guide the outcome.

Become familiar with the Tree of the Sephiroth, its nomenclature and symbols.
Meditations with major Kabbalistic archetypes, angels and the paths will be

Winter Solstice Celebration 

Join site staff to celebrate the change in seasons and the longest night of the year during the Winter Solstice celebration at Poverty Point. The program will
being at dusk with a ranger-led hike along the park’s two mile tram road. The
importance of Winter Solstice, its origins and different cultural significances will be explored. Visitors will also have the opportunity to climb Mound A to star gaze and get a bird’s eye view of the surroundings

Crystal Grids Workshop (taught by Sean)

Crystal grids can sometimes be more powerful than using a single crystal for an intended goal. Crystal grids are made by the placement of stones in a geometric pattern for the specific purpose of directing energy toward a goal.

3 Days, 2 Nights in a lodge at Poverty Point State Park

$29 per adult

  • COSTS:  Cost includes lodging for 3 days & 2 nights only
  • CHILDREN:  Children 13 and older are considered adults. Small children (12 and under) will be expected to sleep with their parents unless you want to pay for a bed for them.
  • FOOD:  Many have specific dietary requirements. Bring your own food; no nearby stores nor fast-food restaurants.
  • TRANSPORTATION:  Caravan to depart Lafayette at noon Friday, December 20, 2013, pit-stop in Pineville at 1:30 p.m., & arrive at Poverty Point at 3:30 p.m. Must arrive at park before 7:00 p.m. Friday.
  • CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT:  Check-in after 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Check-out before 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. You are responsible for any broken or stolen items in the lodge.
  • ITEMS: The cabins come stocked with a limited number of pots, plates, utensils, and toilet paper. Individuals are asked to bring their own toiletries and towels for our stay. Please wash your own dishes when used or bring paper plates.

Registration & Payment Disclaimer
Payment is NON-REFUNDABLE upon cancellation or unexpected event at any time and NON-TRANSFERABLE to any other person. Make checks payable to Acadiana Spiritual Association. Full payment is due by November 20, 2013 to guarantee reservation. Receipt of payment will be provided for all cash registrations and money order registrations immediately. Transportation Disclaimer
If you do not have a ride, please make arrangements with someone for a ride beforehand. Carpooling will be provided by some given sharing of fuel expenses. Cars will have to pay $2 per vehicle and $1 per person in each vehicle at the gate per entry. This is a separate fee you will have to pay the park, not to ASA.

Sleeping Preference Disclaimer
First with payment, first to receive preferred sleeping. Switching allowed if you can find someone to switch with you. If you are bringing children with you, they must either sleep with you or you must provide your own bedding for them on the floor.

Responsibility & Respect Disclaimer
Individuals should respect the privacy of others on this journey. Parents, please monitor all children during our spiritual retreat. Individuals will be responsible for any broken, lost, or stolen items from the lodge. Reminder, this is a pagan spiritual retreat.
